ESG Statement

Sapphire Partners adheres to a strong commitment to achieving the highest standards of sustainability and responsibility.

Environmental

Sapphire Partners are proud to be one of 12 leading search firms who have signed a joint declaration to champion Chapter Zero, which is working to enhance the climate-related skills of board level executives across the UK. Sapphire helped craft the voluntary code to increase the awareness of non-executive directors on issues relating to the environment and climate.

Sapphire itself is conscious of our climate footprint and as a small firm we take all reasonable steps to limit our impact on the planet by taking public transportation, recycling our consumables and supporting climate change initiatives. Sapphire also works with clients who are typically very mindful of their impact on the environment and are typically at the forefront of their sectors.

Social

Sapphire Partners are honest and pragmatic in how we build our relationships with clients and candidates. We are not afraid to give honest counsel and to challenge our clients' thinking. We are trailblazers: for over a decade we have been advocates for all types of diverse candidates, but especially women. We believe diverse and inclusive teams in business which reflect the communities our clients serve are vital for all to thrive. On average, over 70% of our placements have been diverse candidates.

Our success has led many more professionals from all backgrounds and ethnicities to seek us out. We bring diverse professional talent that delivers business excellence, regardless of gender, age or ethnicity. As a team Sapphire Partners come from all kinds of backgrounds and share the same values.

Governance

In our search work, we contribute to good governance by bringing in the fresh perspectives of different candidates. Our clients engage us in part because of the healthy and constructive challenge we provide to their boards and the fresh perspective we bring to looking at board skills.

We provide reviews at the end of our search engagements to ensure that our clients and our teams learn from each mandate. Our non-executive board work is audited on an annual basis by the FTSE Women Leaders to review our diversity metrics and focus on bringing new talent to the table, as well as our contribution to growing the talent pool.
