When interviewed by journalist Katherine Griffiths about Citi's appointment of Jane Fraser as its new CEO, Sapphire Partners' founder Kate Grussing, commented that while there are currently too few senior women in finance, these appointments help the 'marzipan layer' which inspired the journalist to quote Kate’s metaphor in her headline.
